Comic-Con and Warner Bros. Television proudly continue their annual Preview Night tradition with an exclusive pilot screening of the new series Manifest, plus an advance screening of the following week’s episode of The 100 (“The Dark Year” will air Tuesday, July 24, at 8/7c on The CW) exclusively for the Comic-Con audience. On top of all this, the evening will include a special world premiere of brand-new episodes from season 2 of Freedom Fighters: The Ray, which will later stream on CW Seed.

From the ominous horns of Jaws or A Quiet Place signaling fear, to the heroic Star Wars theme, music has always been an important supporting character in movies. This panel offers a behind-the-scenes look at the music of today's biggest superhero film and TV projects with unreleased film clips and never-before-heard music. Holy Hollywood History! Creating the Batman '66 Exhibit
In late 2017, Los Angeles Publicist Roger Neal launched the idea of having a salute to the 1966 "Batman" TV series featured at the legendary Hollywood Museum in the old Max Factor building in downtown Hollywood. With museum owner Donelle Dadigan's blessing, Roger and his client Burt Ward (Robin from the TV series) contacted Batman super collector Wally Wingert to curate the exhibit. Wingert engaged 20-plus Bat collectors from all over the country to participate in the exhibit, which opened on January 12 (the 52nd anniversary of the TV show's debut), much to the delight of fans everywhere. Wally, Donelle, and Roger will show photos and video and talk about the complicated process required to mount such an ambitious presentation. Along with two of the participating collectors (Scott Sebring and Pat Evans) and moderator Mark Fullerton, the audience will hear how the whole thing came together in glittering Hollywood fashion. Don't miss a special appearance by Burt Ward (Robin the Boy Wonder himself)!

Andrea Johnson (California State University, Dominguez Hills) discusses how the 1957 comic Martin Luther King and the Montgomery Story dramatized the bus boycott, solidified adherence to nonviolence forms of protest, and inspired John Lewis and others to become involved in the movement. Jennie Law (Georgia State University) traces the iconic black panther first as a symbol for the Lowndes County Freedom Organization, SNCC's black voter registration drive, and into the creation of Marvel's first black superhero, the Black Panther. Evan Johnson (Rutgers University) places Ta-Nehisi Coates's Black Panther in conversation with black theorists such as Achille Mbembe, Franz Fanon, and the Combahee River Collective to illustrate how Coates explores the limits of black radical thought in the wake of imperial and patriarchal power that is removed from white supremacy.

Aquaman must battle foes in the air, on land, and in the depths of the Seven Seas, along with some help from The Justice League, to save the day in his latest animated adventure, LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes: Aquaman: Rage of Atlantis. Enjoy the first-ever live showing of the film, then prepare for laughs when the postscreening panel takes the stage. Discussing the fun of making a LEGO movie will be actors Dee Bradley Baker (American Dad!) as Aquaman, Troy Baker (The Last of Us, Batman: Arkham Knight) as Batman, Grey Griffin (DC Super Hero Girls) as Wonder Woman and Lois Lane, Cristina Milizia (Bunsen Is a Beast) as Green Lantern/Jessica Cruz, Susan Eisenberg (Justice League / Justice League Unlimited) as Mera, and Fred Tatasciore (Batman Ninja) as the villainous Lobo. Filmmakers on the panel include Matt Peters (LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes: Gotham City Breakout), screenwriters Jim Krieg (Batman: Gotham by Gaslight) and Jeremy Adams (LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes: The Flash), and executive producer Brandon Vietti (Young Justice). As usual, expect some additional surprise panelists, plus everyone in the audience will receive an exclusive LEGO mini-figurine of Jessica Cruz/Green Lantern! Produced by Warner Bros. Legion Discussion and Q&A
FX's Legion, based on the Marvel Comics by Chris Claremont and Bill Sienkiewicz, is the story of David Haller, a man who believed himself to be schizophrenic only to discover that he may actually be the most powerful mutant the world has ever seen. Along with a team of other extraordinarily gifted people, David learned to accept his true self and set out to defeat the Shadow King, who was on a path to attaining infinite and world-ending power. In season 2, a series of mind-bending twists and turns called into question who is the hero and who is the villain. Creator/executive producer/writer/director Noah Hawley, alongside fellow executive producers John Cameron and Marvel's Jeph Loeb, and some cast members will participate in a conversation of what to look forward to in season 3.
