The debate has raged for years, and it's only getting more intense: Is a 200-page comic story a graphic novel? Or is it a long comic book? Is a novel that is 100% filled with illustrations a graphic novel? Or is it an elaborate picture book? A new wave of profusely illustrated epics have entered the fray, including books by Mark Schultz (Storms at Sea), Armand Baltazar (Timeless), and Mark Wheatley (Doctor Cthulittle), creators who will be on hand for the discussion along with Karen Green of Columbia University and J. C. Vaughn (VP of Publishing, Gemstone).
