Comic strip historians and experts R. C. Harvey, Dean Mullaney, and Peter Maresca, along with IDW Publishing editorial director Justin Eisinger, will engage in a far-ranging discussion of the role politics played in newspaper comic strips during the rise and dominance of the art form. In addition to exploring the public-facing messages of creators such as Milton Caniff, Harold Gray, Chester Gould, Al Capp, and many more, panelists apply a critical eye to the legacy these creators left for future generations.
