An Author's Guide to D&D
Many SFF authors writing today grew up playing Dungeons & Dragons. The game is experiencing a resurgence today. Hear some of today's most popular authors of science fiction and fantasy talk about how the classic game of the imagination inspired their own writing. Len Wein Memorial Pro/Fan Trivia Match
In 1994, Len Wein, captain of the Purple Pros, challenged Tom Galloway, captain of the Black Ink Irregulars, to a comics pros vs. comics fans trivia match. It happened almost every year since. With Len's passing last year, it's a final match with all questions on Len's least favorite topic: the work of Len Wein. Len rarely managed to correctly answer questions about his work; when he did, he got a standing ovation. There won't be fixed teams, but they will cycle in pros and fans so as many as possible pay tribute to Len by answering questions about his work and doing their best trash talking of their opponents.

Writers for games and virtual reality talk about the industry's next big paradigm shift. What's different about writing for virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR)? How does new technology shape more traditional games, and how does it impact the way players interact with story? Game writers and industry professionals discuss the potential pitfalls and challenges of new leaps in technology, as well as the potential for new narratives moving forward. Discussion will be moderated by Jonathan Callan (senior writer, Survios), with panelists James Iliff (chief creative officer, Survios), Andrew Robinson (senior writer, Blizzard), and Shawn Kittelsen (writer/head of narrative, Injustice 2).
